Kan man döda ett foster?

Mer från Wall Street Journals Best of the Web Today:

”A California judge Wednesday sentenced Scott Peterson to die by lethal injection for killing his pregnant wife and her fetus,” CNN reports. Have antichoice fanatics taken over CNN? Everyone knows it’s impossible to ”kill” a ”fetus”; the correct terminology is ”exercised a woman’s right to choose.”

Making matters even more confusing, the Washington Post says Peterson killed ”his eight-months-pregnant wife, Laci, and their unborn son,” while the Associated Press describes the victim(s) as ”his pregnant wife, Laci, and her unborn fetus.”

Here’s a thought: Can we start saying Peterson was sentenced to ”abortion” rather than ”death”? Maybe that will hasten the process.

”Scott Peterson, du dömes härmed till lagens strängaste straff: abort. Ditt liv skall avbrytas.” Att använda ordet abort på detta sätt är faktiskt inte helt tokigt.
